Petition filed in Delhi HC due to salary cuts of private school teacher during COVID-19 pandemic
Right from the beginning of lockdown their has been a serious impact on the salary of teachers and other staffs specifically belonging to private schools. The fact is that despite of lockdown teachers are asked to fulfill their duties via virtual mode and even on weekends they are supposed to work. Anybody trying to raise their voice is either being stopped by saying that have no funds to pay for salary or are asked to resign if they have so much of issues.
Now a plea has been filed in High Court of Delhi there by raising concern about the serious deduction in salary of teachers of private school and other staff of private school amid the ongoing situation of COVID-19 Pandemic in national capital. This petition has been filed by Mukul Sharma.
In his petition the petitioner has asked that necessary action should be taken against the respondent i.e. private schools. Further directing them to pay full salaries as interim relied and they have also been asked to clear due arrears. In his plea he has also seek redressal for renewing the contract of teachers and also to clear their dues and provide full salaries to contract based teachers also.
This plea is more likely to be heard in upcoming week as it concerns to a large section of society of our nation.
