No Travel fare to be charged on migrants;notify places providing food for stranded migrants: SC directs
The supreme court on Thursday made it clear that migrants who are seeking to return to their home states will not be charged train and bus fares and they will be provided food and water.and also said that all migrant workers who are stranded at various places,they shall be provided food by their concerned states at places where they are waiting for their turn to board a train or a bus.
A bench headed by Justice Ashok bhushan said that the state shall provide meals and water at the station, and during the journey railways should provide the same to the migrant workers.
The bench also comprising justices S K Kaul and M R Shah, that state have number of migrant workers who want to return to their home,and ensure that they are made to board the train or bus.
