No registration of migrant workers in the National Database

The High Court of Delhi had rejected the petition seeking registration of migrant workers after the Central Government assured the Court to be in process to create database for the migrant workers.

The bench headed by Justice Prathiba M. Singh refused the plea as the Central and the State Government made their submissions.

The Government of India had informed the Court about its step to create a National Database for unorganized workers under the monitoring of the Supreme Court of India as mentioned in Shramjeevi Mahila Samiti v/s State of NCT of Delhi & Ors.
