Madhya Pradesh farmer leader DP Dhakad moves SC against farm laws

Many politicians have knocked on the doors of the Supreme Court challenging the constitutional validity of the agricultural sector reform laws, in this concern another name has been added and the farmer leader of Madhya Pradesh DP Dhakad also approached the top court against the Acts.

 The petition stated that the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement of Price Assurance and Farm Services Act, 2020, Farmers Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020, and Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act 2020, discriminatory and overt form will exploit marginal farmers by arbitrary and big corporates.

The Acts have been called an attempt by state governments to invade the legislative arena.  The Acts were passed amidst great uproar.  It further stated that it would have a devastating effect on the federalism of the Indian Republic, so the argument stated, could be struck down as unconstitutional, illegal and void.
