LLB Internship Programme 2024: Department of Legal Affairs, Ministry of Law, Government of India (1 Month; 50 Interns; Stipend of Rs. 1k)
The Department of Legal Affairs (DoLA), Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India, is inviting applications for its LLB Internship Programme 2024. This program provides an opportunity for law students and graduates to gain firsthand experience in legal research, court functioning, and other specialized fields of law.
Why Join the LLB Internship Programme 2024?
- Purpose:
The internship aims to familiarize participants with the working of the DoLA. Interns will receive training in legal research, referencing, court functioning, and legal advisory services in areas like constitutional law, finance law, infrastructure law, labour law, arbitration, and more. - Stipend:
A stipend of ₹1,000 will be provided upon successful completion of the program. - Certification:
Interns who maintain 90% attendance and receive satisfactory feedback will be awarded a certificate upon completion.
Eligibility Criteria
- Indian citizens who have:
- Completed the 2nd year of a 3-year LLB program, OR
- Completed the 3rd year of a 5-year integrated LLB program, OR
- Graduated with an LLB degree from a recognized institution.
- Advanced computer skills (MS Office, infographics, Adobe, etc.) are preferred.
Internship Duration & Location
- Duration: 1 month (starting from the first working day of each month).
- Location:
- Main Secretariat, New Delhi.
- Central Agency Section (Supreme Court).
- Litigation HC Section, Delhi.
- Branch Secretariats in Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Bengaluru.
Application Process
- For Students: Submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from your institution.
- For Graduates: Upload a copy of your final year certificate.
- Application Form: Fill out the online form on the DoLA Internship Portal and upload the required documents before the deadline.
Selection Details
- A maximum of 50 candidates will be selected each month.
- Shortlisted candidates will be notified via the Internship Portal or email.
Key Dates
- Application Deadline: 9th December 2024, 05:00 PM.
- Internship Start Date: First working day of January 2025.
