INTERIM ORDER PASSED BY CALCUTTA HIGH COURT
The Calcutta High Court has extended the life of all the interim orders that are passed by the High Court in the State until September 30(continuing covid 19 situation). It was passed by the bench comprising of Chief Justice Thottathil B Radhakrishnan, Sanjib Bnarjee, IP Mukherji and Joymalya Bagchi.
The Court post the pandemic lockdown which was for the first time extended the application of its interim order on march 24th .This was followed by applicability of these orders till June 30.
As the Pandemic is still continuing the court has further extended it till September 30.
The Court has also clarified that if any of the parties are aggrieved by such extension they can apply to the appropriates court to vacate or vary any such extended interim orders.
The latest order reads that “The order issued on 24th March, 2020 and corrected by later order of even date and extended till 30th June, 2020 by order dated 23rd April, 2020 will stand extended till 30th September, 2020 or until further orders of Court, unless specifically dealt with by any judicial order to the contrary”.
