Ensure free food grains, medicines to Transgenders without insisting on production of ration cards: Telangana HC to state

Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India.

High Court may be pleased to issue a Writ, Order of direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus. And following information regarding transgender persons in COVID-19:

A. To provide free of cost ration, food and nutrition and provision including vegetables and fruits to the member of the transgender community and without insisting for the production of ration card.

B. Free cost of medicines to transgender person including HIV medications, hormone therapy medicines, diabetes and other medicines. And other medications to be made available to transgender persons from primary health centers and from govt and public hospitals.

C. Allow to transgender persons to apply for and provide the payment of three month social security pension under the Aasara scheme.

D. To provide free LPG cylinders and waive electricity bill for 6 months and similar assurance fo 3 month under PM garib yojana.

E. To extend the aarogyashri govt medical insurance to transgender persons and inculde also health challenges COVID-19 .

F. Take appropriate action against those who are targeting transgender persons by falsely labeling in public .

G. To place moratorium on the collection of rents till the end of june free interest and late payment penalty fees and pass orders directing  that landords  the they should not evict transgender persons.

The State Government is further directed to ensure that these commoditie sare given to the members of the transgender community free of cost and without insisting on the production of ration card/white card etc.

The report shall be submitted by the learned Advocate General on or before May 08, 2020.
