CIRCULAR ISSUED BY BCI REGARDING FEES PAYMENT IN INSTALLMENTS

After continuous petitions made by law students and their families worldwide Bar Council of India has finally given a relieving decision.

BCI has issued a circular there by releasing instruction to all the centers of legal education to frame some flexible fees payment polices.

The whole idea and motive behind this are to reduce financial burden on families of students in this ongoing pandemic situation.

Instead of taking fees in lump-sum legal institutes are advised to be little more compassionate and frame policies whereby students can make payment in installments.

Further they are urged to keep the check on factors like there is no electricity consumption in institutes and reduced maintenance charges due to non- functionality of classes.

On the contrary students’ expenses have increased owing to good internet connection for online classes, increased consumption of electricity with a no rise in income rather income has fallen to great extent in some cases.

Students pleaded this fees concession on the grounds that salary of many people have been slashed down, Business ventures have failed, some people had even been removed from their jobs.

Keeping in mind all these factors and considering it to be genuine grounds amidst this COVID-19 pandemic BCI has released this circular regarding formulation of suitable fees payment policy.
