CENTRE REAPPOINTED TUSHAR MEHTA AS SOLICITOR GENERAL FOR 3 YEARS

The Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievance, Pensions has reappointed Solicitor General Tushar Mehta for a period of three years from 1st July 2020.

In addition to it, the Appointment Committee has also Reappointed existing five Additional Solicitors General of India for our Supreme Court and that too for 3 years and from 1st July i.e, Vikramajit Banerjee, Aman lekhi, Madhavi Godaria Divan, KM Natraj and Sanjay Jain.

The following lawyers have been appointed as new Additional Solicitors General for the High Courts:

1. Yezdezard Jehangir Dastoor as Additional Solicitor General for Calcutta High Court

2. Chetan Sharma as Additional Solicitor General for Delhi High Court

3. R Sankaranarayanan as Additional Solicitor General for Madras High Court

4. Dr. Krishna Nandan Singh as Additional Solicitor General for Patna High Court

5. Devang Girish Vyas as Additional Solicitor General for Gujarat High Court.
