About IJLSR
International Journal of Legal Sciences and Research is a peer-reviewed, academic journal. Since 2014, the journal has been engaged in providing a platform for original and quality work to its readership, striving to promote the potential of research and writing on matters of significance. With the purpose of igniting interest and inculcating a multidisciplinary approach, we believe anyone with a flair for writing deserves to be represented.
Submission Guidelines
The journal allows entries pertaining to contemporary and the latest developments in the legal sphere. However, posts engaging analysis of challenges in law, policy and inter-discipline cross-connection are preferred and given emphasis.
The manuscripts can entail doctrinal, analytical and empirical research containing some novel analysis comprising the author(s)’ views and which adds to the existing literature on the subject but must not be a simple descriptive/informative piece.
The entries must showcase the original work of the author dealing with a current theme of interest or importance comprehensively and can relate to any legal aspect of national or international law.
The submissions which are approved in a review shall go through the necessary process of Plagiarism Check.
Categories
IJLSR acknowledges and welcomes all the manuscripts that are original work of the author(s) and deals with any area of law. It does not restrict submissions to a particular field of law.
Submissions are welcomed in the following categories:
- Research Papers (4000-6000 words including footnotes)
- Articles (3000-4000 words including footnotes)
- Short Notes (2000-3000 words including footnotes)
- Book Reviews (1000-2000 words including footnotes)
- Case Commentaries (1000-3000 words including footnotes)
Anyone with interest and knowledge of the law can apply.
The references shall be footnoted, hyperlinks, and endnotes are not accepted.
How to submit
All the submissions must be sent to contact.ijlsr@gmail.com under the subject heading ‘Submission’.
All submissions must be accompanied by a cover letter containing the name of the author/s, institutional affiliation, title and category of the submission, and a contact address of the author, including the email address and the phone number.
Submissions should be sent as MS Word (.doc) or (.docx) attachments with the title of the article as the file name.
All contributions submitted to the Journal should be original and a written declaration acknowledging the same to be attached with the submission.
Form of submission
Submissions must be in electronic form:
An Abstract of not more than 200 words shall be sent along with the submission.
Title: 14, Bold, All Caps, Centre-Aligned
Sub-Headings: 13, Bold, Capitalize each word format, Italicized, Left-Aligned
Abstract: 12, Italicized, Justified
Body: 12, Times New Roman, Spacing 1.5, Justified
Citation Format:
Footnotes can be in any uniform method of citation and must be single-spaced in Times New Roman, font size 10, and justified.
The paper should be free from grammatical, spelling, and other errors. Co-authorship is allowed subject to a maximum of two.
International Journal of Legal Sciences and Research publishes papers on a rolling basis in its monthly Issue. A call for paper is issued in the interest of authors to inform about the same.
