“ALLOW ADVOCATE LIVING IN NOIDA , GHAZIABAD, FARIDABAD, GURUGRAM, TO CROSS DELHI BORDER : DHCBA REQUEST DELHI HIGH COURT CHIEF JUSTICE”
The Delhi High Court Bar Association has written a letter on 4th May 2020 to Chief Justice of Delhi High Court , Justice DN Patel for issuance of necessary directions to allow the advocates living in areas outside the city o cross Delhi Border.
DHCBA send a letter to the chief Justice has stated that a large no. of advocates are also practicing in district courts and staying in areas outside the city borders in Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurugram, Faridabad, etc.
DHCBA’s concern in the letter that such advocates now have no access to their files, records etc as they are lying in their offices situated in Delhi.
It also added that even the books and commentaries that are required effectively at the time of video-conferencing hearings are not available with the advocates at their residences.
DHCBA has thus requested,
The Delhi High Court ordered that such advocates are permitted free movement in to and out of Delhi upon production of valid identity cards issued by any court annexed Bar Association of Delhithe Bar council with which the Advocates are enrolled.
