NOT PROVIDING SECOND DOSE OF COVID 19 VACCINE IS VOILATION OF ARTICLE 21: KARNATKA HC

The Karnataka High Court on 13 May 2021, Thursday observed that not giving second dose of COVID-19 vaccine will be a violation of fundamental right to life under Article 21 of the Constitution. A division bench of Chief Justice Abhay Oka and Justice Aravind Kumar also told the State government to tell the truth to the people and upload the data of available vaccines on the websites. The court also said to priorities the people who are to get the second dose.

The court urged the central government to take measures to fill in the gap in the shortage of vaccine at earliest for prevention of national resources.
