Contempt of Action against Schools by Madras HC.

Today, the Madras HC had warned the schools which insisted for the full payments of fees. This was violation of the Court’s earlier order dated 17th July which directed for fees payment in installment to amid the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Justice N Anand Venkatesh was informed today by the State that many complaints received from parents that the educational institutions were keen to ask for full payment and ignoring the courts earlier order. 

Considering it as serious matter, the Court has directed the Educational Department of the State to conduct an immediate enquiry into the matter and act against the institutions. If the institutions are found guilty, then the contempt of court action shall be initiated.
