Orissa High Court Grants Bail On Condition Of Planting 100 Saplings
The High Court of Orissa has granted bail to a person on a condition that he will have to plant 100 saplings in his native village at Boudh district. This step can be taken as a different way of awaring people about environment. And as a proof the accused will have to show the plantations to IO of the Baunsumni police station.and they will inform the trial court about it.
Justice SK Panigrahi granted bail to a person accused of criminal intimidation and attempt to murder who has been in custody for the case registered against him.
According to the complainant,the accused was in love with his daughter,and had entered to his house forcefully threatened to kill him, assaulted his family members and attempted to kidnap his daughter. The accused was charged with offences of house trespassing,theft,criminal intimidation, use of criminal force.
The court noted that the allegations against the accused were not established and both the parties knew each other very well,there was a wedding proposal between the accused and the complainant’s daughter. Therefore they granted him bail and the condition was he has to plant 100 saplings in his native village within three months.
