AAP Govts Order Restricting Treatment in Delhi Hospital to Residents Only Challenged in HC
A plea was moved Monday in the Delhi HC challenging the AAP government’s order directing all hospitals under it as also the private ones to admit “bona fide” residents of the national capital for treatment.
Two separate petitions filed by advocates Abhay Gupta and Prashant Arora and Vineet Kumar, through Praveen Chauhan, are listed for hearing on Tuesday. Another petition filed by advocate Gautam Kumar and law student Guarav Sarkar through their lawyer Shashwat Anand and Syed Sarfaraz Karim. All the four pleas have challenged the Delhi government’s June 7.
The scheme provides financial assistance of 5 lakh for treatment to those who have been residents of the national capital for last three years and have an annual family income up to 3 lakh .The Delhi government allow private laboratories to conduct COVID-19 tests without restrictions.
