47 MORE CHINESE APPS BANNED BY INDIA
After banning 59 Chinese apps last month Indian government has now banned 47 more apps of Chinese origin. As far as reasons for ban are concerned the very first one that has come up is that these apps were operating as clones of the previous operated apps which means the exact copy of the previous apps banned.
Not just this list of approximately more than 250 apps has been made that are that will be further examined in case any kind of privacy threat is found ban will be imposed on them too.
The major reason behind the ban imposed is that some of these apps have been detected privately sharing data of users with Chinese agencies. These apps are responsible for violating national security of India as well as causing privacy issues to users.
It is expected that today’s ban includes some of the top gaming apps Like PUBG etc of Chinese origin as well. This ban has been invoked by government under section 69 A of Information technology Act.
The decision to ban 47 more Chinese apps has been taken after a security review by Telecom Ministry. However, the confirmation of list of banned Chinese apps is yet to be awaited. This ban will act as a huge tension ground between India and China.
